Terms of Service

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.

StartupVCMatch provides tools to analyze startup materials and generate investor matching outputs. You may use the Service only in compliance with applicable law and these Terms.

You may not:

• use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or bypass security of the Service;
• upload content you do not have the right to use;
• scrape, copy, or misuse data from the Service at scale without authorization;
• use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or abusive content.

You retain ownership of content you upload, including pitch decks and related documents (“User Content”).

By using the Service, you grant StartupVCMatch a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, analyze, and display User Content solely as necessary to provide and improve the Service, support your use, and maintain platform security and reliability.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions required to upload and process your User Content.

The Service may generate rankings, recommendations, scoring, and other outputs based on your inputs and available VC firm data (“Outputs”). Outputs are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

No fundraising guarantee: StartupVCMatch does not guarantee introductions, meetings, responses, term sheets, investment decisions, or any fundraising outcome. Any “fit,” “match,” “score,” or ranking reflects an automated assessment and should not be interpreted as a promise of results.

You are responsible for independent verification and due diligence before acting on any Output, including confirming a firm’s current investment focus, stage, check size, geography, and preferred contact channels.

Firm-level contact only: We do not provide private or non-public contact details for individual partners or team members at VC firms. Where available, we display firm-level public channels (such as official websites, general emails, and firm LinkedIn pages) as provided by the firm or public sources.

Data completeness and accuracy: Some VC listings may be missing fields (for example: email, LinkedIn, check size, sector tags, or stage). Data may be incomplete, outdated, or occasionally incorrect due to limitations of public sources and automated processing.

If you believe any information is inaccurate or should be updated, please contact us so we can review and correct it.

The Service does not provide legal, tax, investment, fundraising, or financial advice.

Certain features may require payment (for example, premium/pro features). If you purchase paid access, you agree to the pricing and billing terms presented at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law, fees are non-refundable after the paid feature has been provided or unlocked.

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding your User Content), is owned by StartupVCMatch or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for the platform or other users, or if required by law.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StartupVCMatch disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that Outputs or VC firm data are accurate, complete, or current, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Third-party and public-source information may change without notice. You assume all risk for your use of the Service and any reliance on Outputs.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StartupVCMatch will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to StartupVCMatch for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or, if greater, €100).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StartupVCMatch from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights through your User Content.

We may modify the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the entity operating StartupVCMatch, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction apply.
